We report what is happening to children in conflict, country by country, with the figures that usually go unpublished: the displaced, the hurt and the unseen.

What we do
Waladi is a news agency, an organisation and a school, all in one, because a child needs all three.
We do not ask for donations. We ask for attention. Our work is carried by volunteers and by a public that refuses to look away.
Get involvedWe teach children remotely ourselves, and keep teaching until each one understands a subject well enough to teach it to another child.

A child looking straight at you
Look at the middle of our name. The letters a, l and a form a face: two eyes set inside the a, and the l standing between them. It does not smile and it does not cry. It looks at you directly, the way a child does when they are waiting for an answer.
We drew it that way on purpose. The children we work with do not need pity, and they are not mascots. They need to be seen clearly and with dignity, and the mark asks the same of anyone who reads it.
