Before you write

Things you might be wondering.

The desk for the region your message is about. If it covers more than one region, or you are not sure, use the general email and we will pass it on.

Yes. Our DMs on LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and X are read by the desks. Email is better for anything long or anything with attachments.

A news agency, an organisation and a school in one. We report on children affected by war, tell their stories, and teach them remotely.

No. waladi does not take donations. The best way to help is to share our reporting and campaigns.

Anyone under 21. Every position at waladi is held by young people. You can apply on the Get involved page.

Use the story form rather than email. You do not need to know the child personally, and we only ask for their first name.

Write to the schools and partners email with your school name and country, and we will take it from there.

Talk to the press desk first. Email them with the story and where you would like to run it.

Contact local emergency services first. We are a newsroom and a classroom, not a rescue service.

Still not sure? Write to the general inbox and we will point you to the right desk. [general email]

Raising a story?

Use the story form instead.

Stories about children go through their own form so an editor sees them first. It is faster and safer than email.

Every child deserves to be seen.Every story deserves to be told.
